I'm figuring it actually won't matter that much, considering I won't be having sex without protection for a while anyway, but I don't want to mess up my period (due now!) Sorry for the ignorance, I have heaps of information, but I'm just double checking! Thanks in advance, mervy.

So active pill on the first day of my period, right?

The pill stops you from ovulating (releasing eggs.) It takes 7 days for the pill to take effect unless you take it on the first day of your period (then it becomes active immediately, but you wouldn't really wanna have sex on your period anyway would you?!) So basically unless you take your first pill on the first day of your period, then you should use a condom for the first week.
