How do you tell if he just wants to be friends or more?

A female United States age 51-59, anonymous writes:

How do you tell the difference between a close guy friend and a man interested in more? Recently my guy friend of 5 yrs. and I have gotten really close. We talk or text almost daily, but when we are around each other in person don't communicate nearly as much. He seems to follow me into other rooms and compliments me often, but has yet to make a move. What is the difference in the way guys treat their close female friends and someone they have a romantic interest in?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (11 April 2010):

well the biggest give away is if he takes up any opportunity to touch you, to just grab your hands, give you a hug, anything which will get him physical attention. Also these compliments, are they the type that you would see him say to anyone else or you to your own friends?

If you dont think he does any of these then hes probably. Biggest giveaway is body language tho, keep an eye out if your unsure.
