You can only really tell yourself! If you feel comfortable with it, then go with it. If you feel like you dont want to go to the next step or your not ready then put it on hold. Your partner should understand.

 What do you call the next step hun? Do you mean sleeping togther ? There is only one person who can answer that and that is you. Do you feel ready? Is your partner someone you trust to give a part of yourself to?
You should never feel pressured into doing anything your not ready to and there really is no rush.
I personally belive there is no normal amount of time to wait or normal time you should be ready.
It's all about how you and your partner feel.
