A yeast infection is extremely uncomfortable. Along with a thick white discharge (doesn't have a foul smell), you will often experience redness and irritation of the vulva.
Yeast infections almost always itch/burn.
White disharge alone does not mean you have a yeast infection. It could be cervical mucus from a certain time in your cycle.

It doesn't sound anything serious especially since you've just had an IUD you're womb is just adjusting, I had dried brown blood for months after my first one and nothing was wrong.Sometimes you will get thick white creamy discharge, it's not always obvious what it is when I was younger I had it and I was itchy the doctors thought it was thrush and treated me for three years before they actually tested me and found I didn't have it, turned out the itchiness was from my pubic hair so if I were you I'd get tested for it first. If you can't be bothered with that just get a the tablet for it you're allow I think one a month so try that but as I said I doesn't sound like you have it.

A trained medical professional diagnoses you after ruling out other possibilities.

I want to preface anything I say with admitting I'm not a health professional, but I have gotten the occasional yeast infection (particularly after a lot of sex)
If you're itchy and you've got a white discharge it sounds like a yeast infection. Occasional yeast infections are pretty normal...nothing to be worried about and nothing I've seen a doctor over.
You might consider the garlic treatment which I've used and it's worked every time for me and it's a lot cheaper than vagisil. Google "garlic and yeast infection" and you'll find out what you need to.
Good luck.

Vagisil relieves the symptoms of the yeast infection but doesn't cure the problem. This website lists some OTC treatments:

Just be careful it's not something more serious. If home remedies aren't helping you can go to a women's health clinic, they will take care of you/help you out even if you don't have insurance. Many have sliding scale systems.
