 You will know when it happens... I know it's an infuriating answer, but it's true. More than often, if you don't know it is infatuation (very easy to confuse, especially when you're young) ... You will know the difference once you gain perspective.

 I love someone who I have never seen. He lives in another country, and the closest I've come to seeing him is on web cam video chat. I've talked to him almost everyday for the last 8 months. We have fallen asleep together with our laptops next to us with our cams on. We have brought our laptops outside and shown each other our surroundings. It's certainly not as good as being able to physically touch him, but its better than nothing at all. People may give me flack for this, but it is possible to love. I love him as a person and my best friend. But to be IN love with him is another story. I believe that once we meet, however, we will fall in love.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 March 2010): no i dont believe you can love someone you have never seen it sounds impossible because it could be anyone. i believe that you have to see and know someone to love them,
you know when your in love when they are not around you miss them and ache for them, you will do anything to see them happy, you will call them just to hear there voice, there are many ways to know when your in love, but i dont think anyone can tell you that because when your in love you will just know.
