A female reader, sarcy24 United Kingdom +, writes (4 July 2008):

sarcy24 agony auntIn the Uk if you want personal councelling with a psychologist than your doctor will refer you under the NHS and it will be free. If it is marriage guidance you are after look at the Relate website and book direct with a councellor near you. They cost about £60 an hour but are less for students, people on low incomes or people on income support. If you have private health care again go to the GP who will write you a letter of referral to a consultant at a private hospital. Check first that your policy covers this area first as some sadly do not

Ermm yeah I think you do. Unless you go under the NHS or something, but if its private then yes you do.

However I do strongly recommend it. Just one session can solve problems for life.
