OK here I go thinking again, ok its another question about peoples points of views. After reading questions on here about people in long term relationships...How long does a relationship need to be to be long term?

I don't know how you would classify it as long term or not. I think the definition of "long term" differs with age, experience and diferent stages of life.

Thanks xx

dancing_boo agony auntI would personally say that a ‘long term’ relationship would be based upon years….around 3 years and more. But as mentioned, dependant upon age and of course whether or not your relationship is looked upon as FB’s or not. Also, whether or not you see yourself spending your future together with him, or picture it without.

I would say a long term relationship is one that you have been in for a while and can see yourself remaining in for the forseeable future. I dont think people talk of long term as a length of time its more as a phrase used to say they are not going anywhere. If I was told to put it into years I would say anything from 3years + but as you said, this definition would certainly depend on age - remember being 15 counting the months and thinking it was long term relationship?
