 Make it clear that she's precious to you, but that it doesn't mean you will let her walk all over you. There is a big difference between loving a woman to bits and letting her do whatever she wants.
As to telling the world, don't do it. The world doesn't care much. I trust she does, and that is what matters.

 Off course you should still make it obvious to her that she is precious to you and that you love her. There are plenty of things that you can do to mark a year of being together. Plan a romantic night or depending on funds a romantic weekend. Start thinking up some ideas.
