writes: I know this is a bit of a daft question, but can sperm swim in water? Like if you're fooling around in the bath and the guy comes, if you're not on any sort of contraception is there a risk, however slight, of getting pregnant? Thanks for any answers! :)

No, fresh water kills sperm because of osmotic shock (differing salt contents within the cell and outside the cell). Though I'd imagine they'd survive a bit longer in salt water.

I guess there is always the smallest of risks when it comes to these things but it just really depends on the details. Usually once a guy comes sperm dies pretty much straight away therefore if his sperm wasn't directly inserted in to you then no you would not fall pregnant. But I think the best thing for you to do if you are going to fool around with this guy is to think ahead and be careful in the future.

umm, im not 100% sure but i belive sperm die in hot water, and men have a lower sperm count in hot water to i belive. they say it all the time about being in a jacuzii but then again its just a saying.
