The odd, txt and I meet up a while down the line assuming she still wants to be friends with you that is. Not knowing the reasons and how long you've been dating makes this a hard one to answer but regardless you have to give it time.

You can't force the post break up friends issue. She'll more than likely feel hurt and betrayed at being dumped and will take a lot of that pain out on you at first. You should give her time to get through that stage before suggesting that you are friends since in my experience, a guy saying he wants to stay friends just after a break up makes me think we'll get back together. Give her time and space but keep in touch and you should get back to friends eventually.
