I'm a songwriter myself. Lyrics can be extremely frustrating. Unfortunately there's no 'one size fits all' method... each songwriter varies as to how they write their most poignant verses. The best lyrics I've written came from a poem I wrote when I was 17. Usually though I just play around with some chords on a guitar and fill in the melody with some 'dummy lyrics' (words that are meaningless, just there to get an idea of melody) until I can sit down and write some good lines.

The best songs that people can relate to though are ones that draw from experience, in my opinion. I'd suggest keeping a diary of some sort. When I'm stuck for song ideas, I read my diary entries from when I've been emotional or stuck on something. You'd be surprised what kind of poetic lines come out within a diary's pages!

Good luck!

Tisha-1 agony auntHi, I found a couple of links for you to look at for some guidance...

But the best thing is to write about what you know. I'd suggest that you either write it down or talk into a recording device so that the words and feelings are your own.

Good luck, I really wish you success!

tick-tick-boom agony auntHiya.

I don't know any sites for writing lyrics or anything but i think when writing lyrics they should be meaningful. (well not always but the best are).

So yeah, you should just try writing stuff. I guess it's kinda like a talent because if your good at writing theyll come naturally.

Anyway it would depend on what kind of lyrics you'd want.

Just find some inspiration!!

Good Luck! X
