He obviously didn't respect you enough to tell you the truth about why he didn't want to be with you anymore, so you don't owe him any kind words or condolences. You ought to play it off like your life is just great without him and you don't care if he notices at all. Be happy and over him. Start acting like this before you even see him. It will give you a little practice and something I like to go by is, "fake it 'till you make it." Meaning, after enough time pretending you're happier without him, you actually will be! So, get out there, show your smile, strut your stuff, and be happy! Life is so much better without him anyway, right? ;)
