writes: been with the boyfriend 2+ years, have been long distance in the past couple of months whilst i finish my studies. however he is coming up for an event the day i hand my last piece of coursework in. however he has got a work meeting that means he is really close by so wants to come up several days earlier. i love him but for this final piece i really want to focus and i know i can't do that with him around. how can i tell him not to come up them but drive back home and come back up a couple of days later as planned without sounding like a bitch. its my last ever piece of work at uni and i really need to concentrate on it as how my deadlines are spread mean that there is minimal time to complete it anyway. any advice? how do ask him to drive several hours back home then back again several days later just because i am not ready to see him? please help as i don't want to upset him i jst dont think he has considered this as he has said previously i can work when he is here but its impossible given my small uni room and i wont be able to focus knowing he is sitting at home waiting for me when i am trying to pull some long hours in the library.
