I want my ex back!! My mom doesnt think hes the guy for me. I love him with all I have and he's got so much to offer and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. She has always been involved in my relationships and I dont know how to tell her that its my life and Im the one responsibe for my choices. How and what do I say to her?????

cd206 agony auntKeep it straightforward. Tell her you really appreciate her opinion but that you need to give it another try with this guy because if you don't you think you'll regret it forever.

becky115115 agony auntI understand the way you feel, I have gone through a very similar situation. Sometimes parents don't realise that you have to make your own decisions, because if you don't you could be missing out on the real thing. You need to sit your mother down and explain to her that you value her oppinions and are glad to have them but you think that you are truely in love with this young man and that you want to persue seeing him. It might be hard for her to understand at first but she will. What if your grand-mother had told your mother she didn't approve of your father or a similar situation. Your mom will see that you are mature enough to make your own decisions.
