writes:HiI am 35 and my bf is 46. I was married before but no children and he was with someone for 15 years and no children either. They separated because he wanted children and she could not have. I think I forgot to take my pill and now I am pregnant. We have been dating for 7 months and we are in love with eachother. I was using the coil for a long time and had to remove it because a infection 3 months ago, since that I am on the pill. I missed my period and took a test. It is very early days. How can I tell him? He was asking me often if I was taking the pill and he told me to be carefull and not forget but I did. I want the baby but I am afraid of his reaction.What is your advice?? He does not know anything yet. I feel like I want to share but don't know how.

 u will probably find if u tlk to him face to face he will understand and if you want tht kid then he would want whats best for you. it will probably cause some arguments at first but just explain to him what happened and be truthful

reader, anonymous, writes (28 July 2010): You could show him a picture of the ultrasound or leave a pair of booties on the pillow. Or you could just come right out and tell him. If he wanted children at one point I'm sure it will be a shock, but he probably won't be angry.
