writes:one of my best friends recently told me that she is falling in love with a yr 13 guy at our school. she wants to tell him but she thinks he sorta knows already. their in the same house. the problem is she cant tell many people because there is this one girl whose brother got kicked out this band by the guy my friend fancies. she bought him a big xmas present and wanted to go to his house to give it to him (before term starts) i have to talk her out of it as she'll end up making a fool of herself and get her heart broken....how do i talk her out of it?? she always stalks him at lunch and break (basically whenever she can!)i can i stop her from loving this guy, convince her not to go to his house and leave him alone!!??!!

 Some people have to learn things the hard way. It sounds like your friend might be one of them. Let her make her mistakes, be there to hand her Kleenex when it all blows up and try to refrain from saying "I told you so." But you do get to say it once, just make sure you do it when she's actually listening and not crying.
It's a sad truth that we can't always keep people from making fools of themselves.
