Not illegal in the Colonies to screw your cousin but illegal to marry your first cousin. Hell, we had a President who married his second cousin.

Dude, this one will be a tough one. You want a little piece for yourself yet if you handle this wrong you will be outted to the family by her. Sometimes women of her age like the power they have over guys. Lots of 16 yo girls do, more than they realize. If you really want to chance this one, and in my opinion it might not be worth it, let her come to you. Subtly put it out there with a gesture or a smooth move but she must think its her idea. If you spring too fast or hard she just might go to your aunt then all is lost and that's what she will see in you until you are old and grey. Be stealth and patient and maybe you will be rewarded.

If you ever had children together, they have a good chance of having a serious disease or being deformed because cousins are so genetically similar. Just think how weird that would be if you were related to your girlfriend. I think you should seek other girls and possibly get professional help to sort through these feelings.

She is a member of your family, there are a million girls out there who your not related to so go and persue one of them.
dating a cousin/family member is simply wrong.
