reader, anonymous, writes (29 October 2006): Hi, I am not too keen on handing this twenty something girl a note with your contact information and a written note on it...if you are that shy it would better if you just handed her a business card with your name, email and phone number and say I hope you will call me sometime maybe we could meet for lunch or coffee...in fact it would be really cool if you just asked her for lunch or coffee and agreed to meet her somewhere, you don't even really have to begin a big conversation with her because she is serving you and is working and may not have time to talk because you would hold the other customers up.
Just say hi, my name is, what's yours, nice day, nice weather, or what do you like to do when you are not here at work? Just be yourself and smile, she will be flattered by the attention if nothing else.
