Sometimes a women doesn't really want you to do anything but help out with the kids, housework, maybe take her out to a hobby that she enjoys or better yet a occasional I Love U never hurt either or maybe a thank you. We sometimes assume people know we love them and that is not always the case. We get so wrapped up in everyday life that we forget about the ones we love. Flowers and candy are nice but don't forget the everyday stuff that gets your point across too.

A female reader, straight to the truth United Kingdom +, writes (30 July 2009):

I think it is just a girl thing and nothing to worry about.

I know when i am feeling a little low i just want to hear it and you will ask my man if he loves me and he will say he does and give me a hug and we will cuddle up on the sofa for the evening. I know he will say he does and i know he loves me but its the hearing it that makes me feel that little bit better.

She may have just needed a little reassuring.

just make sure you tell her enough, try and do something once a month to make her feel special thats just the two of you, go for dinner, bye her flowers, watch a dvd with a glass of wine, cook her a dinner and light some candals.

anything that just shows you made that little extra effort to make her feel special.

but i think it will just be a case of she was feeling a little low and wanted to hear the man she loves tell her that he loves her too.
