I am finally getting better at talking to people but I still have the laugh. I don't know if it's just a habit or what, but how can I stop? I try sometimes not to do it, but a lot of times it just happens.

My guess is that you are quite a highly strung person.
A nervous giggle can be quite a problem...
I have known people in their 40's that have this problem, and it can be really distracting sometimes.
I can suggest trying some deep breathing exercises to calm you and centre yourself... meditation will also have a beneficial effect for all types of nervous complaints...
Sit quietly in the mornings before everyone else gets up and do your breathing and meditation... I am sure you will soon find you have a calmer disposition when around people.
Hope this has been of some help to you.
Take Care.
