writes:I used to be best friends with this girl and we had a very good chemistry, i used to care for her very much. i fell for her, and came open with it, but she was in an other relationship at that time. we were friends for some time after that but we grew even more closer. we used to hug, i used to let her sleep in my arms. I did everything i could for her. But she started getting close to another guy and i was jealous because i felt i was losing my place. Unfortunately that guy is also our classmate in college. All the students of our class went out on a college trip and there she was very close with him and i just could not take it. i Got drunk and told her that i am jealous. We had a fight and we stopped talking. I begged for a while to be friends with her again. 2 months later she sent me a text asking me how i was, but i could not feel the warmth while i was talking to her. i told her i missed her and she asked me to "politely walk out of her life". Because of all this i flunked an year in my school and i am an year behind her now. She and that guy are in the same class now. I accepted everything and moved on, it has been 1 year now. Lately i have been hearing people talking about both of them. I learnt they both are very close now and she broke up with her boyfriend. I dont know whats there between them and i dont even have the curiosity to know. But we are in the same medical school and for the last one year i did not see her because i flunked and i was ineligible to attend classes. But now that i passed i saw her yesterday at our college cafeteria having lunch with that guy. I immediately vanished from there in order to avoid awkward situations. But seeing her made me feel weak and i started thinking about her. But i am fine, and i dont want her back. My friend asked me why i vanished from there and he advised me to project a carefree attitude which inturn tells her that i can live my life without her. But after hearing my explanation he said it was fair.Now my problem is, i know that i will bump into her again, as we ended whatever we had at very bad terms, How do i react if i see her again and we come face to face? Please suggest something......

 You just need to try and remain calm, I know that it can be hard and you don't want any awkward situations but your friend was right you need to show her that you don't care and her presence does not affect you. Therefore if you do see her in college be the bigger person and just smile at her and say hello and walk past. It is as simple as that.
