writes:hey guys... im crushing on a guy i work with , hes awesome but im not sure his status cos hes new :) the thing is im really shy and really dont want to make an idiot out of myself if hes not interested so im just wanting some clues on how to pick up if hes interested.. im not good with picking up signals and all that jazz. a few possible signs this week stirring me up saying this other guy was my bf even though its not true ,and im like no i dont have a bf , im single !!! just wondering if that was to see if i was single or was he just doing it to be smart ...he always come to me asking for my help and stuff, he tells me i do a great job in what i do and always thanks me a few times if i help him ..the other day hes like im going to nickname you princess and always calls catherine instead of cat like everyone else does cos i hate it lol, hes so your an allycat then how much you paying ???? dunno what that was all about but yeah ...we both flirt and stir each other up lots but im not sure if hes just being nice or hes generally interested .. also i really want his number but im really shy and cant bulid the courage to get it .. pleasse help :)

Just from what you said, that he nicknamed you Princess and is always asking for your help with things, on that alone I would say it sounds promising. However, it is still a little unclear; does he have the option to ask others for help but only asks you? Does he thank you more than once for each time you help him? Is he playful? Do you run into him a "little more often" than others at work? You are right to think that maybe him saying another guy was your BF to see what you would say or do. If he flirts with you and you want his number or vice versa, then one time when he has a question tell him that he'll have to call you after work and ask...if that's not a hint I don't know what it is...Also, I don't know what your work situation, if you interact with him standing up or sitting down. Just watch his body language (subtly). Is he standing in an open posture. As in, is he kind of turned toward you with his torso area exposed (with clothing! Just mean, no crossed arms or such)? Does he make it a subtle point to touch you often? If he does all or most, I'd say it's safe to assume he has the hots.
