A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

How do I get this girl to like me that I really like. She likes me as a friend even calls me best friend but when I ask her out or anything seriously she always has something to do or doesn't feel like it. She's really nice and really funny and I love to be around her but for some reason she just doesn't like me like that.

A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (11 February 2011):

TasteofIndia agony auntThe only way you can do anything is to not be so available. Right now, if you guys are "best friends" that probably means that you hang out alot, talk alot, pretty much you're her boyfriend without the action. You need to distance yourself so that she can see what it would be like without you around and then she can decide clearly if she likes you or not.

If she's been pretty clear that she's just not into you, you need to find ways to move on - and distance will probably help with that too. So either way, I say give her and yourself space. You should begin moving on to other prospects. Good luck, sweetness!
