 depends on what you did. I always found that action speaks louder than words. Show him that you are worthy of him. Dont talk his ear off about how sorry you are. Just BE a good person, show him. Good luck!

 I'd say in most cases, the best thing you can do is apologize to him (face to face). As well as that, perhaps make him a card or get him a small gift attached to a note saying sorry.
But it really depends on why he is mad at you - more details would be helpful.
