If he has a unique name, perhaps ask him more info about it and then that could lead you into a ton of stuff. Women have done that with me and I love it. Thats cause Im half arab and my name is all over fbi.com lol jk.
If he looks over at you during lunch that could be a sign to "come over here now" lol. Sit next him and just chat it up. Id avoid work topics tho cause if u wanna get to know this lad youre gonna wanna ask other questions. Good luck.

 Well, at lunch, you can offer to have lunch with him. It is easier than you think to make conversation with someone. I do it for a living so I know first hand how surpisingly easy it is. Who knows, you two could really do well together. Just strike up conversation, I find it easiest to start off with a simple compliment or a simple "where are you from" because there a million places that conversation can take you.
