reader, anonymous, writes (12 August 2010): Try different things with a female then male or vise versa. You'll learn soon enough what you are. But you'll learn lables dont matter. Its whats on the inside. I experimented and found out I only liked guys. It took about two years to realize but I soon figured it out.

 You know when you find out what gender you are sexually attracted to. If you aren't sexually attracted to anyone right now, don't worry, you are still what we call a kid, and you're not supposed to have it all figured out yet. It will come in time, when your body and brain matures more.
In the meantime try not to focus much about the labels, and if you find someone you want to be with then be with them. The important part is that you feel comfortable with whoever you have as a partner, and that you are attracted to them.

 I don’t think you can be really sure until you're abit older. Even then though, I don’t actually believe labelling yourself is a useful thing to do. My perspective has always been that people fancy who they fancy. Who's to say a straight man wont stumble across another man at some point he finds attractive. Does a one-off attraction mean he's gone gay, or bi. I don’t think so. Just try to be happy with whoever you fancy.
