Country Woman agony auntSweetheart your message is so short it is hard to know what symptons you are suffering.

I think bipolar can manifest itself in people in different ways so no two people are the same, there are similarities of course and mood adjustments and all sorts.

What you do need to do is get yourself to your GP and ask his/her opinion. I think the way they carry out evaluations today are very different to years ago.

My future brother-in-law is bipolar and a mum of one of my daughter's friends is also bipolar, she is much younger than my brother-in-law but he knew he was suffering with symptons for some time before he got any treatment. The mum of my daughter's school friend got earlier detection and her bf basically monitors her medication and makes sure she is OK, he says she alters when she is taking certain medication as it can have a knock out type effect where she can sleep most of the day so sometimes she lessens her dose of a certain drug so that she can function. Obviously stressful situations can trigger certain reactions but on the whole with regulated medication they both seem very well adjusted people.

My future brother-in-law choses not to publicise the fact about his condition as does this mum, she does not work but my future brother-in-law does so it really does depend on the individual and their coping strategies.

Do go and get some tests carried out and advice on medication if it is proven that you are bi-polar, you could be suffering with a form of depression instead so I would get a close family member to go with you and open up about your fears as it is a lot to take in if it is proven to be bi-polar but it is very much a copeable condition if treated and monitored correctly.

Keep us posted OK. Wish you well and do confide in someone close to you so you have good support.
