How do I know if he really likes me or if he is just playing games with me?

So I recently reconnected with an ex boyfriend, I am the one that ended it. Well anyways we have been doing ok so far. We hung this Sunday and went to the same restaurant where we had out first original date at. We had an amazing time; we went to see a live band after. I am an impulsive person and when I mix alcohol with that I become really horny. So at the end of the date we ended up making out in the car and I dry hump him and he totally went to second base. But before anything got serious he pulled me off and said " do u wanna have babies or do you want to take this slow". I obviously said take things slow but today’s is Wednesday and all we have done is send vague texts messages here and there to each other. I am really scared that he’s playing this mind game with me where he’s going to make me think that he wants something serious but at the end drops me. What do i do ! how do I know if he really likes me and is only trying to take things slow?
