It's supposed to be every 28 days, but some girl's cycles are longer, some shorter (before I was on the pill, mine were between 30 and 35 days.) Mark every 28 days on your calendar/phone calendar, or set an alarm to go off the morning you are expecting it. You could also try going on the pill. Your period will be every 28 days and each day of the week is marked on the packed, so when you're getting empy and it's on a certain day, you'll know when you're getting near!

How long your period lasts, how many days in between varies from woman to woman, the only way to get a fairly clear picture is to write it down and see.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 July 2010): If you have recently started having periods, they may be a bit unpredictable at first. Generally though, it is usually every four weeks that women have periods. But what is normal for one woman may be different for another.
Keeping track of your periods is a good idea. When I come on my periods I make a note of them in my diary. By counting the days in between each period, I have learned that mine are usually about 30 days or so apart. I can then roughly predict when I should next have a period by counting 30 days from the last one. Bear in mind though that some things can affect your periods, like stress, weight loss, some medications, etc. Hopefully you will start to see a pattern to your periods and it will help you know when you should next have one. I hope this helps. x

Periods happen about once a month, but anything between 21 and 35 days is normal. You're quite young so it's unlikely your periods will be regular yet. It normally takes about 4/5 years for them to regulate. Keeping track is a good idea because you'll be able to notice anything slightly different. You'll come to understand your pattern better after time if you keep track. So you won't need to ask us! :)

A
reader, anonymous, writes (19 July 2010): It should come about the same time each month. Most women have a 21 or 28 day cycle. You can do an Internet search for "menstruation calendar" to print off one that might be helpful, or you can just use a regular calendar at home. Mark the first day of your period and the last day on the calendar.

If your rag comes the same time everymonth, then it will come 28 days from when you started, but some people have sorter or longer time priedid. So you will just have to pay with it. So if you started on june 24, the next one will be july 27. Good luck.

I always had this problem. I was never able to keep track of my period until I started taking birth control for my mild acne and PMDD.. But basically it is like this Get a calendar. put a star on the day after your period ends. three weeks after then you should have your period again. So on week #4 that will be the week of your period.
