When back to school shopping time comes, I don't want to buy ones that fit tight in the store, and when a get home, they seem loose. Thanks :) Reply to this Question Share |

If you boil cotton in a very high temperature - either in a bath tub by hand, or a boil cycle on a washing machine - they will shrink all over and may lose their colour. If they fit at the top end now...they may not afterwards. Take them to someone who can sew on a machine and mark out with pins how much you want them taken in - it is very easy with a jean seam. That should do the job perfectly!

I hate it when my skinnies do this!
They always do, so my friends started naming them after me - baggy skinnies are 'Charl skinnies' lol
Until I complained to my Mum and she washed them in cold water for me - yay!!
It worked!
It's not permanent, and it may not work everytime but it does work.
However, it might shrink them a lot, so if you only want the ankle skinnier perhaps dipping them in cold water would help?
Drying them in a dryer also shrinks them.
Hope this helps!
