Try not to go up to her with the intention in your mind of asking her out, or the aim of a relationship. This will just put pressure on you. And if you don't know this girl, I think that to just ask her out might be a bit too forward, too much too soon.
So just chat to her about something mundane, something casual. That's how you get talking to anyone, and how you can start to get to know them. Things might juts progress naturally from there. Good luck. x
