You can grow taller, by letting this go....be just who you are ....... and if you don't fit their boring bill in weights and measures then it's their loss, something else will turn up.
Prestigious my ass......They are ten a penny BUT YOUR NOT!

Stand in manure, try some kind of medieval rack device, go to the interview in the morning as you are an inch taller when you first wake up.
Or just go along and see if that inch makes any difference at all.

You know, with the different sizes that we women are, there is not really a universal standard for women models anymore. From plus to petite sizes. There is even a strong and responsible movement toward eliminating anorexic looking models. since the death of some models who wanted to stay skinny a few years ago.As for your own natural growth, yhe age at which a person stops growing vertically varies with the onset of puberty and the speed at which one grows vertically before puberty. It is governed primarily by growth hormone. The height a young person attains is due to growth within the long bones of the body. This growth take place at the junction of the shaft and the two tips of the bone at a thin line of cartilage called the epiphyseal plate. This plate changes from cartilage to bone in response to the sex steroids estrogen (in females) and testosterone (in males). Once the change from cartilage to bone occurs, there can be no more length type growth. Some individuals undergo surgery to lengthen the bones of the lower extremity, but this is a very painful process and is also quite expensive. Not to mention the potential side effects later in life.I think you will have to start looking at all the wonderful benefits of being shorter than normal, which is much easier to deal with - and much healthier - than being taller than normal. As Denny said, you were approached by the agency so they already saw something spectacular in you. They would certainly have noticed your high heels at the time. and obviously they did not think it was a hindrance for them to still approach you. They might even want you as their stellar model for "petite" sizes! There is a big market for that these days.Good luck!

However, if you're five foot nine in heels i am sure that they'll take you on! There are always exceptions if someone is beautiful
