I know many women will be able to sympathise with me on this problem - I'm sick of my man leaving me alone to watch the World Cup!!!

He's mad about football but now, there's like 3 matches on a day and I never get any attention whatsoever!! Most of the time, it's not even England and he ignores me!!!

I know I sound like a spoilt brat but surely I still deserve some attention? He does love me but I'm sick of sitting in silence or trying to make myself busy all the time!

Any ideas ladies? lol

It's only for a month...and it only comes every 4 years! You know he loves you, so just let him enjoy the world cup and at the end he'll be thankful you didnt make his life hell when he is enjoying a passion seldom on offer. I wouldnt do the football shirt thing during a match, as he will probably want to watch the match and make love later which induces the whole 'you love football more than me' thing. He doesnt love football more than you, but as I said, the world cup doesnt come along often.

Just wait it out.

camille agony auntDr T is spot on. They sell knickers with footie messages on the front. Football shirt's are sexy on girls! And because I am also behind my home team we're watching togther. You don't have to like football to join in and watch the world cup. If not, it's only every 4 years and for a few weeks, so I'm sure it's not that much of a hardship to have your man watch the games......

DrPsych agony auntGreetings from a fellow football widow...well I actually like the game, but the world cup is OTT. I suggest that you wait until his favourite game is due to start and take the fuse out of the TV set! I have a rule in my house that means any games are watched in the local pub - he gets to watch the game, I get fed and watered...

Wendyg agony auntWell being totally football mad myself, I cant see your problem lol sowwie,.... The thing is if you cant beat him join him! lol I can sympathise, maybe stike a deal with him, tell him that you wont complain about him watching the football if he takes you out to dinner and spoils you! i know he is going to want to watch all the England games, but maybe he can compromise on another... I know that Sat eve we went out for dinner and missed one for the games, and while we were out we saw loads of women and their husbands/partners, still wearing their England tops, so they were into the football but probably had an agreement with the wife to take her out to dinner for being a football widow! I dont know how else you can get through to him as if hes passionate about it they just wont listen, I would have thought he could have sacrificed the odd game that isnt England though... although my man is a bit way over the top on some of them, i either go out, make dinner, or just sit at the pc!! Time flies on the internet! Join a club for football widows! Im not really sure how you can tear him away, just maybe see if he will compromise, tell him that you understand he wants to watch his games, and you dont mind(even though you do) but it would be nice, while its good weather if you could pop out and do something together!

Take care x

Smiler agony auntHey there

well sweetie you and the rest of the females in the world :o)... but i do have a few suggestions that may help you out a little, i understand you have no interest in the football at all, but have you tried watching the odd england game with him? just to show him you share some of his interests... alternatively put his england top on with nothing else an tell him you'd like to have some naughty fun during half time? if both of these fail sweetie then just tell him what you have said you'd like a little of his attention to.... why can't he do both?

I hope my advice was able to help you out with your situation sweetie and good luck with this... if you ever need a friend or a chat or just more advice don't hesitate to email me sweetie, I would love to hear from you again and know how you got on... Remember i'm always here for you anytime ok

You Take Care Sweetie X
