I don't think there's any easy way to do this. You just have to be direct. Sit him down and lay it out exactly as it is.
Tell him how you feel about the relationship, and how one-sided it is and that it's really affecting you. Tell him that he either has to get out there and get a job and start helping out, or he can move out.
I don't envy you, but i don't see any other way around it!
