I am a smoker too and Abac has got it totally right. We all know its harmful (but then again so is something like drinking) but nicotine is addictive and the fact is it does work; it does reduce your stress levels. If that is the reason your friend is smoking then I think you need to help any stress they maybe under, she also has to want to quit for herself and might not respond well to pressure although you do mean well. Good luck :)

Im a smoker, ive tried before and it is hard, temptaion is a harsh mistress, especially with something so available. Its one of those things where pretty much the only way youll quit is if you yourself wants to quit. Trying to make your friends quit proberly wont do alot im afraid, if you dont like it, ask them not to smoke around you, easiest way.
