A female United States age 41-50, *ere_in_Texas writes:

A guy I work with and I have been seeing each other for a few months. We have had sex a couple of times. He is from Mexico and is embarrassed that he doesn't speak much English. My Spanish is passible so it doesn't bother me. He talks to everyone else at work except me. They all speak Spanish too. Everyone else at work speaks to me even though most of them do not speak English either. So I finally got tired of his behavior. He doesn't talk to me. We never go out. He says weird things to my friend like "When she moves here I will be able to go home with her every night after work" and "I am glad she is moving here because now I can tke care of her". (I live a long way from work and we didn't get to see each other much because of it)

So I told him I was erasing his number and was not going to bother him anymore last Friday. At first he didn't say anything. I have made it a point to completely avoid any eye contact with him and not speak to him at all. If we walk past each other I look down or the other direction just to avoid him.

I thought at first this was just sex. He was only intersted in me for sex but now that I don't talk to him or even look at him it seems to bother him. I catch him out of the corner of my eye looking at me. He asked my friend the other day how to say upset in English.

I think he likes me. I am certain of it. I like him too but I am tired of the him being embarrassed and afraid. I don't know what to do anymore. How do I get him to admit that he likes me too and then how do I get him to actually do something about it?

Why cant you just ask him why he doesn't speak to you in work? From what he has said to your friend he obviously does like you.

Talk to him about why he doesn't show his feelings.

Good Luck!! xx
