Maybe he's not the jealous type. If you don't want to be hugged, then don't let a guy hug you. You seem to be wanting him to be more jealous, not protective. And that's not a good thing. Because when a man gets jealous, there is no going back and it can ruin a relationship. He sounds like a decent guy, who is secure enough to let you hug other guys. If you don't want those hugs, don't let the other guys hug you. Just don't go out and try to make him more 'protective'. It won't work. He does care. A lot. He cares so much that he's not jealous or insecure enough to think that you're up to anything. He trusts you. But you seem to be wanting him to be jealous, and that is something you do not want.
