Try not to get carried away before you even know him, as you could just want someone in your life irrespective of who he really isA good start might be to give him your phone number and see if he rings. Don't push it if he doesn't. Most men like to do thechasing, but if you give your number you are inviting him to ring you and that makes it easier to ask you out, if he wants to.

But you can try to "woo" him with your personality, your charms, your talents, etc. so that he notices you more.
If you are in the same friend circle, hang out with him when you can. Maybe invite him to hang out with you one-on-one to do something fun.
If you and he are compatible, maybe it can work out in your favor.

USE WHAT YA MAMA GAVE YA! Just joking XD Don't make it obvious that you love him but don't let him do all the chasing either. You could show him that you're interested by getting to know him well if you don't yet. If so you could bring him along with some others on a get together. I wouldn't suggest a actual date until you get the feeling of how he is around you with others. Maybe he'll make the first move and ask you out :)
I HOPE I HELPED ^.^
