How do I get him to instantly respond to my emails?

A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

it takes my male friend over 2 weeks to reply to my emails, sometimes more. He says it's because of his job. He works in a hotel as the manager, but I just can't get my head round it as he works in an office with a computer. I end up emailing him back and being annoyed as he didnt respond and then he will respond and ask me why I am angry with him and that I should know how his job is. I just dont get why it should take so long to reply with a simple email. But yet if I send him something in the post like a cd or a birthday present he will reply straight away saying thanks. He is in a different country and I wonder does he like the attention and getting me mad as this is how it feels to me. Can anyone help and advise me what I should do?

I am in somewhat similar situation as yours. I personally cannot understand how can a person not find 2 min in at least 72 hours to drop a line and ask how you are doing? It is absurd. Don't we find time to eat/ shower? A person might say it is too demanding. But, honestly, where is the feeling of intimacy in a relationship if a guy can't find time to connect with a special friend? Guys, is it so difficult to understand? ....sorry, in your case it isn't very clear from your note whether it is a friendship or something more

He clearly just doesn't do email.

So stop using it. Phone him text him or send him some post.

Good Luck!! xx

He is in a demanding job and even though he has an office with a computer, he simply may not have the time to respond. However, 2 weeks is a long time to reply. If you're worried, why don't you try sending him letters instead. Also, do you just like him as a friend, or more? He may be worried about leading you on.
