I've met this new guy he's great i like him a lot but people have been telling him bad things about me and he is having a hard time trusting me how do I get him to start trusting me?

Prove to him that the stuff people have been saying about you isn't true. Or if it is true admit to your mistakes and promise they won't happen again.
