I know handing a girl your number is a bad thing, makes them think your desperate or whatnot but what if the only time you see this girl ,its only for a minute each day.She orders food, then comes in and picks it up then leaves, so i see her a total of maybe a minute, and plus all my co-workers are around. What way would you ask her out or get her number without looking despereate?I told the cashier that knows her to put in a good word for me, then a day later the girl came in and the cashier said "sean was asking about you", and she said "oh yea?, well tell sean i said hi"Im the only young guy that works there so i think she knows im the one.

In the past, men have given me their phone numbers and i was very flattered! I didn't realize till I learned from others that it was supposed to be the other way around!! I wonder how much it really matters these days, it depends on the couple involved. However, if she comes in often to pick up food and gets a positive vibe from seeing you, then clearly you have a chance. Do you know her name yet? I wouldn't give up on getting to know her by any means, because who knows the future! However, she may have a boyfriend already. You have to think of something funny to say, or interesting, or a way to make her notice you even more. You could do something like add a brownie or something she didn't order, see what she says...if she says, "What's this?" say, "it's for you" ... or somethiing. If you eventually get into a conversation, ask "Can I call you sometime?" Try this.
I hope your romance blooms with the spring!!
Love,
Manya

its really not a matter of lookin desperate its showing her that you have the confidence and the charm to go up to her and ask her for a date maybe even pull a wee line you guys are great at...make her laugh and then id say the onversation will be flowing! maybe even pop a wee rose of sumit in with her food an ask dya wana meet up! i think if hes like any other girl she will be petty flattered :) defo go for it

It's not a matter of "looking desperate", it's a matter of looking keen and enthusiastic.
So what do you have to lose? Just ask her out. Maybe she will say yes, and maybe she won't, but there are very few girls who object to being asked - it's a nice feeling to know that a man wants to get to know you better.
Go for it.
