His name is Joe, and I feel that he is attracted towards me as I get the impression that he is always fussing over me, and I think it was him that sent me a Valentines card back in February. The probelm is I wish Ii could express my feeling towards him more but I am frightened that it might backfire on me, because in the past I have not been lucky in love, so could you please give me some helpful advice?

I think you should go for it and say that you like him. It doesn't mean too much and it doesn't mean too little. You should tell him a few things that you like about him. You should explain how you feel towards him. It doesn't matter about how the past has gone; this is a different man who may love you and you may love him, so you are on an equal wavelength. If you just explain how you feel truthfully, he will understand that you are telling him the truth and he might just do the same thing. Even if he doesn't feel the same way about you you can carry on being friends and carry on where you left off. Good luck with everything.
