How do I ask him to hang out without it being awkward?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Ok long story but I'll try make it short and please dont judge. Last year I performed oral on a guy, let's call him Bob because I really liked him, but he only wanted sex, so I said no and he stopped talking to me. A week later, foolishly I got drunk at a party and ONLY made out with a guy "Brian" to get over Bob. turns out Brian is Bobs friend and I had no idea. Brian wanted me to be his gf but I told him, I dont want a bf right now.

A month later I fell for Brian's friend and we went out for a month. So I really felt bad that I told Brian that I didnt want a bf but went out with his friend. Even though he would make a good boyfriend, I was not and still am not attracted to him.

Now, 6 months later, I talked to him for a while at a party and he seemed like such a cool guy and I wanna get to know him more. I wanna ask him to hang out but I dont have his number, he has mine. The problem is that he lives with Bob (who tried to kiss me the other night, at a party but I didn't let him) so if I ask Brian to hang out, Bob will most likely hear about it and maybe come with him.

I feel like I can trust Bob and I'm thinking of messaging him and asking to hang out but what should I say without it being awkward or without it seeming like im interested in him as more than a friend? Or is this just an all around bad idea?

And let me just say iIdid NOT have sex with any of them and me and Brian only made out for 5 minutes!

im not surprised you confused yourself! lol. sigh, these situations are the most frustrating. Ask the guy to hang out and make your intentions clear to both of them. The other one will get over it.
