the fact that he is in your year makes it easier to find out what to do because you already know loads of his friends and what people in my year used to do was ask a friend to find out who he likes by casually saying something like "so, any goss with the guys?" or "who does anyone fancy?" and if the guy doesn't say anything about him, your friend goes "what about (INSERT NAME)?"but you can sit beside him in class just talk to him and flirt a bit, see how he responds. The worse thing he can say is no, and all you have to do is laugh it off a bit if it is awkward after, just act like everything is cool. But if your friends say go for it then you should trust themgood luckxx
