reader, anonymous, writes (1 November 2008): If I were a woman living in the UK I would steer away from having a Turkish bf.They are sexist, mysoginist and will only be nice to you until marriage. They come from a culture where the man is the one who dictates everything in a relationship, this might be a mayor difficulty in a future relationship. I am from Germany and I believe me I know plenty about Turiskish "culture".There is a Turkish proverb "The best friend of a Turk is another Turk", they have two ways of dealing with people: trustworthy towards their own people, deceitful towards any "foreigner".

good luck though.. its not exactly easy as they make it sound. a friend of monie is MARRIED to a turk. she's still having troub;e just trying to get him a visitors visa.
