These are fun corsets not proper lace ups to change our shape. The issue is we bought them online and they fit but we both have very large busts and in the corsets they just look ridiculous and inappropriate.Does anyone have any ideas on how we can still wear the corsets but cover up a bit but not look weird? Maybe a trick to make them look smaller??? Please help!! Reply to this Question Share |

Do you have a problem with showing your generous "womanhood" to those who will be at the party????

I wear a singlet top under some of my corsets (fake corsets too). Otherwise they tend to slide down and reveal just too much as I move. Alternatively you could find a nice bra or lingerie that matches the corset, so that it will still look good even if it shows. You can for example sew the corsets to the lingerie with just a few stitches, to make it stick in place and look like they're part of the same piece of clothing. I have some lace bra's that I can use under corsets, and it just looks extra nice when the lace shows at the top.

A nice shawl or silk scarf, loosely draped over your shoulders, or off -the shoulders. You do not have to cover up everything , after all corsets are made precisely to enhance your bust , but, yeh, there can be too much of a good thing. So you drape and pin the thing in a way that shows just the upper half of what would be a huge skin expanse, or else, in vertical, you let it flow unpinned - and leave well in sight the cleavage where your corseted breasts form a slit. Sexy but not too all out.
I had just the same problem once I was in a play in 18th century costumes. I am a busty woman and in my corseted costume I suggested much more some really cheap 50 's burlesque , than the elegance and refinement of classic 18th century theatre :). But the silk ( or lace ) thingie really helped a lot.
