And she is going on her year abroad as part of her course next September. When she gets back I'll have finished uni.We are both studying the UK, an extra complication is that she is German while I am British. I think she intending on staying in the UK.I really do not know what to do.How can we possibly have a lasting relationship?

Stay friends with.........best relationships start out that way anyway. Germany and England are not that far apart.......If you 2 fall in love then you can take it further after you both graduate:)
