 there is no way of knowing shes a lesbian,all yu can do is maybe ask her workers,or try and find some info out about her then see where things go from there :) good luck x

 Unfortunately there's no way to tell. xD People can't really carry around badges that indicate their sexual preferences after all.
The best thing I think you could do is talk to her. Maybe ask her about some items in the shop. You could slip in a flirtatious compliment to her - about her hair (mention you love red hair) and watch her reaction. If she's taken aback and acts in a hostile manner, perhaps she is affronted by the female attention ? You could get a male friend to ask her out, or flirt with her in the same manner; if she responds well to him, perhaps she isn't. Or she could swing both ways !
Of course you have to be aware that the age difference is pretty large, and even if this woman is a lesbian, she might not be single or willing to date someone quite a bit younger than herself.
