It is natural for the male to pursue the female evn in the animal kingdom so go for it, tell her how you feel she may be hoping your going to anyway so what have you got to loose.....
If its just friendship she wants she will soon tell you and that doesn't mean you still can't be friends does it???

 The best way would be to tell her, up front. It would take a hell of a lot of courage, but there would be no mistake about what she wants. You would lose the friendship, if you have one, but, you wouldn't agonize over this.
The hard way is to drop little hints that you want her as more than a friend. See her often, be kind, invite her out, look into her eyes, et cetera. You would need to be careful whether she reciprocates the hints.
Either way, you may end up embarrased. Asking a girl whether she wants more can have one of two possible outcomes: either she takes you, or not. You need to bear this in mind and accept it as a fact.
