Sitting and waiting for them to contact you is a no brainer! Send out a few messages yourself and then see how many replies you get. Maybe you havent filled in a decent enough profile, and one with a photo will get 10 times as many replies as one without.

You don't need a credit card - http://plentyoffish.com is a free worldwide dating site with literally thousands of women signed up to it. If you don't manage to get a bonk via that site there's no hope for you.

As for the viagra going out of date - they must have been on the chemists shelf an awful long time, they should have an expiry date about two years hence, not 10 days, and in any case they still work after that.

On the subject of oral sex. Many, perhaps most women have their best orgasms with oral sex, but they still want the feeling of intercourse. This is the way it was with at least 3 of the 5 women that I have been with over time. My wife has multiple great orgasms with oral, but she still wants to feel a penis inside her, even if she doesn't have an orgasm that way every time. If she had a choice of only intercourse or only oral she would chose only intercourse. A lot of lesbians also use a dildo.

Just to add - in the UK if you suffer from certain illnesses or conditions such as diabetes or a spinal injury you can get ED drugs on the NHS by prescription from your GP. They allow you four bonks per month, ie. four pills, but if you get prescribed 100mg Viagra you can cut them in half and get twice the mileage out of them, assuming 50mg is enough to do the trick!

There isn't a 75mg Viagra pill, but if you can persuade the doc that 75mg is what you need you'll get 8 pills - 4 each of 25mg and 50mg. Tricks of the trade and all that! Mind you, Cialis is much better than Viagra. Far gentler and longer lasting.

15 years ago if you had ED it was tough luck, but these days there's a lot of effective remedies to get your sex life back on track. Best of luck mate!

Two words...

Oral Sex.

Lesbians get themselves off without a cock. No reason why a guy can't get a woman to vibrate like the energizer bunny in the same way.

You might also seek medical advice about things like Viagra which have been known to help these matters.

A reader, anonymous, writes (9 September 2008):

In case you don't know about any of the treatments, here are some. First, there are the 3 main ED drugs - Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. They all take about 20 to 60 minutes to work and last for 4 to 6 hours for Viagra and Levitra and 24 to 36 hours for Cialis. Many men report that they last about twice as long. They are effective for about 80% of men with ED.

There is also muse, which is inserted into the end of the penis. There is also Caverject. It is injected into the base of the penis with a micro-needle. OUCH, but men say that you can't even feel it. Doctors sometimes use Caverject to diagnose the cause of the ED. These are now only normally used if the drugs don't work.

The last that I know of is the penil implant. Saline bags replace the spongy tissue in the penis. A reservoir is implanted into the body behind the penis and a pump is implanted into the scrotum. This is a drastic solution and requires surgery and is non-reversible. Men who have it done and talk about it on healthboards are satisfied.

I have mild ED. I normally don't have to use anything, but it takes some work to keep an erection many times. If my wife and I want to have a night of sex and not worry then I use the smallest dose of Viagra. I get no side effects and I am like I was 30 years ago. It works great for me. I have not tried Cialis or Levitra.

If you have not already done so, go to a doctor to have an examination to find out the cause of your ED. He should be able to give you samples of the 3 pills to see which one of them works the best for you. I'm not sure, but I think that you might even be able to buy the generic versions in the UK. Someone tell me if I am wrong. The generic versions are illegal in the USA because of patent laws.

Hey Gibby,

I can not nearly imagine the affects that having E.D. has on someones confidence. Our society is one that is geared around sexual performance and attitude so when a medical condition arises that relates to sexual perfomance we often bombard ourselves with questions until we have clouded the issue. I would assume you have looked into trying the E.D. medications such as Viagra, however more important than that is for yourself to realize that though sex is important it is not the only aspect of a relationship. In many cases women do not/are not interested in sex for reasons of their own. As people age and people's bodies change they find themselves in a situation that does not mirror the factors that society says are important. I would say that if you are not worried about having sex (becuase of the E.D.) then I am confident you can find someone who does not mind either. You appear to be willing to be open to foreplay and to many that would be enough.

Best of luck!

Tony

DoubleM agony auntErectile dysfunction in most cases is treatable or can be helped to some degree, but I'm sure you know that. If your situation is not treatable, the the anonymous reader's suggestion to seek a woman for companionship "only" is a good one. Try online dating and spell it out briefly, but also stress your good qualities.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (8 September 2008):

Can you take medicine for it? Have you gone to a doctor to ask where it is stemming from? Lastly, there are women that don't like sex........if you are honest up front you could find such a woman, but don't be deceitful and go after a woman that does want sex because there is nothing worse than a forced celibacy when you are within arms reach of the man you desire!
